Dear flist:
What are your favorite DS games? I am not really interested in the pokemans, more in rpg or puzzle games. I can neither read nor write in Japanese, so translated only.
PLEASE RECOMMEND ME THINGS.

Disgaea
Elite Beat Agents
Phoenix Wright-Justice for All (still working on getting the original)

I had a lot of fun with Suikoden Tierkreis, which is like a full-size Suikoden game shrunk down for a handheld. It's not in the same universe as the console titles, so you don't really miss out if you haven't played any of them (but if you have, it will feel really familiar).
I have started (but not gotten very far with) Hotel Dusk, which is a visual-novel sort of detective noir adventure about an ex-cop searching for his missing-in-action traitor partner. It looks really neat! Gameplay is mostly conversation based, with point-and-click puzzles as well.
Less compelling on the story front, but more just because I find repetitive tasks soothing, I've been playing Rune Factory, which is a Harvest Moon game with dungeoncrawling added to it. Not terribly complicated! But very cute.

I am still playing The World Ends With You, an action-y RPG where what clothes you wear help determine your success in battle. No, really! Some people find the combat system hard, but I do okay with it-- I am normally really crap at this stuff so it baffles me slightly that I'm not bad at it.
The Castlevania games are also supposed to be really good.

ALSO what is your paypal? I would definitely like the first PW game if you can still sell it.

Scribblenauts is my favourite puzzle game, where basically you have to solve the puzzle or traverse the landscape using items you write in (there's an insanely huge database, so you can use anything from "rope" and "gun" to "Cthulu" and "Large Hadron Collider".)
The Legend of Zelda: Phantom Hourglass isn't the best Zelda game I've ever played, but it's still a pretty freaking awesome game. Requires no knowledge of the series or universe. There's an RPG element, but lots of puzzles to solve along the way, and it makes really good use of the DS stylus screen, imho (like, you can draw on the map! and mark important points!)

Mario & Luigi: Bowser's Inside Story is actually really great and not a typical (boring to some) side-scrolling Mario game with coin collecting and whatnot. it's like a legit RPG.
PUZZLE QUEST PUZZLE QUEST PUZZLE QUEST PUZZLE QUEST. not Galatrix or whatever the shitty sequel is, just normal Puzzle Quest. buy it now, thank me later.
