Dear flist:

What are your favorite DS games? I am not really interested in the pokemans, more in rpg or puzzle games. I can neither read nor write in Japanese, so translated only.

PLEASE RECOMMEND ME THINGS.

eta: due to your AWESOME recs, o my fantastic flisters, i have picked up the following:
Disgaea
Elite Beat Agents
Phoenix Wright-Justice for All (still working on getting the original)

aaaand am definitely going to pick up:
Scribblenauts
TWEWY
Suikoden Tierkreis

Ooh, I hope you get some good answers to this! I would also be interested in people's recs. :3

I had a lot of fun with Suikoden Tierkreis, which is like a full-size Suikoden game shrunk down for a handheld. It's not in the same universe as the console titles, so you don't really miss out if you haven't played any of them (but if you have, it will feel really familiar).

I have started (but not gotten very far with) Hotel Dusk, which is a visual-novel sort of detective noir adventure about an ex-cop searching for his missing-in-action traitor partner. It looks really neat! Gameplay is mostly conversation based, with point-and-click puzzles as well.

Less compelling on the story front, but more just because I find repetitive tasks soothing, I've been playing Rune Factory, which is a Harvest Moon game with dungeoncrawling added to it. Not terribly complicated! But very cute.
